Five Minutes With: Ronan Sayburn MS
I met Ronan Sayburn MS at the end of 2016, in Gumpoldskirchen, Austria, while sitting for the Introductory & Certified levels of the Court of Master Sommeliers (CMS). I was instantly amazed by his ability to transmit both knowledge and vibrant passion for wine! As the Chief Operations Officer of the CMS, he was involved in the teaching part of the 3-day session and his energy helped a lot through the intensive schedule.
So, quite obviously, when I heard that he was coming over to Dublin to teach a masterclass on New Zealand wines with Julie Dupouy (3rd Best Sommelier in the World 2016), I instantly registered.
I contacted Ronan and asked him if he could give a little bit of his time for an interview for Food Vinebrations, and he very kindly accepted. So, here it is: 5 minutes with Ronan Sayburn MS and his great pieces of advice for future sommeliers or wine enthusiasts!
